Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees (F).
STEP 1
Grind oats until fine using a blender or food processor.
STEP 2
In a medium bowl, stir together oats, flour, baking soda and salt. Cut in butter using a pastry blender until the butter lumps are smaller than peas. Stir in buttermilk and honey to form a stiff dough. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/8" thickness. Cut into mini animal shapes using our cookie cutters under our safari catagory. Place cookies 1" apart on cookie sheets.
STEP 3
Bake for 5 to 7 minutes in the preheated oven, until edges are lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
